Important Update from the CDC on Vaping, October 2019
The report from the Center for Disease Control, CDC, titled "Interim Guidance for Health Care Providers Evaluating and Caring for Patients with Suspected E-cigarette, or Vaping, Product Use Associated Lung Injury" came out in October of 2019. This report looks into the 1,299 reported cases of lung injury in the U.S. The CDC uses this report to create an "updated interim guidance [that] provides a framework for health care providers in their initial assessment, evaluation, management, and follow-up of persons with symptoms of e-cigarette, or vaping, product use associated lung injury (EVALI)."
The hope is that this report will help reduce the sicknesses and deaths associated linked with vaping. Read the full report here.
